Ecole des Ponts ParisTech is recruiting for a Chair of Junior Professor (JPC). This recruitment is aimed at young researchers with a strong potential to manage and lead a research team, as well as the ability to participate in national, European or international projects.
The terms and conditions of this recruitment are taken in application of the decree n° 2021-1710 of 17 December 2021 relating to the chair of junior professor contract. This position is offered on a 6-year tenure track basis, leading to tenure as Research Director of the Sustainable Development.
This chair is accompanied by a favourable research environment and includes teaching activities at École des Ponts ParisTech (up to 28 hours of lectures or 42 hours of practice classes per year) as well as dedicated funding.

Recruitment stages
- Admissibility: The school ensures that each candidate meets the requirements to apply for the position.
- Selection on the basis of application files: a selection committee examines the applications and selects the candidates it wishes to interview.
- Interview of selected candidates: the selection committee interviews the selected candidates and proposes a candidate to the Director of Ecole des Ponts.
- The auditions may include a research seminar and/or meeting with the scientists of the host laboratory. The selection committee will attend as an observer.
- Recruitment decision: following the deliberations of the selection committee, the Director of École des Ponts decides on the follow-up of the recruitment process.
